Prana is a Sanskrit word for life force or energy. Prana Paint & Flow™ is a unique sensitizing approach developed by Indian choreographer Ashley Lobo to explore movement through connectivity, yoga, breath, and touch to help the dancer go deeper within. Sensitising the dancer’s awareness to breath and sensation becomes the focal point of the technique, and instrumental in allowing movement or dance to appear.

Various exercises from meditations to experiential exercises with all surfaces from floor to air to skin are used to get the dancer closer to accepting themselves fully and activate Prana flow. This approach encourages the individual to allow movement so that the body can create its own art, something that is unique and personal. The key in Prana Paint & Flow™ is to listen to the body rather than tell it, to allow rather than to create.
